Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information _myomike ("we," "us") collects through this calculator and account system, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have over it. This site is operated by Michael Howe, doing business as _myomike, based in Seattle, Washington.
What we collect
Account information
- Email address and password, used to create and secure your account
Health and fitness information
To calculate and personalize your results, we collect:
- Sex, age, height, and weight
- Activity level and stated goal (fat loss, maintenance, or muscle gain)
- Body fat percentage, if you choose to provide it
- Weigh-ins you log over time
- The calorie, macronutrient, and fiber targets we calculate for you, and any adjustments made based on your logged weigh-ins
Some of this information — including your weight, body fat percentage, and weigh-in history — may be considered "consumer health data" under Washington State's My Health My Data Act. We treat it accordingly, as described throughout this policy.
Why we collect it
We use this information solely to calculate your results, save your plan so it's there when you return, and adjust your calorie target based on how your logged weight trends over time. We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not build behavioral or marketing profiles from it.
Consent
By creating an account and entering your information, you consent to our collection and use of it as described in this policy. Where required by law — including for consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act — we obtain your affirmative consent before collecting health data beyond what is necessary to provide the calculator itself, and before sharing it with any third party for a purpose unrelated to providing our service. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (see "Your rights" below); withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything already done before that point.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do share it with the following service providers, solely to operate the site:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account and health data on our behalf
- An email delivery provider — used solely to send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
We may also disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that identify you individually. Your login session is kept using your browser's local storage, which is necessary for the calculator and account system to function — this is not used for tracking or advertising. If that ever changes (for example, if we add analytics in the future), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your profile and weigh-in history are permanently deleted, as described below.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information, directly in your account
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time, using the "Delete account" option after logging in — this permanently removes your login, your saved plan, and your full weigh-in history, including from our database provider
- Withdraw consent for the collection or use of your health data at any time

Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted storage and access controls that ensure only you can view or modify your own data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where required by law, we will seek your renewed consent before applying the change to information already collected.
